Social media isn’t one-size-fits-all. Honestly, that’s the point.
Each platform serves a different purpose in my world, and over time I’ve learned to treat them less like a megaphone and more like a set of tools. Some are for precision. Others are for play. And a few are where everything comes together.
Quick Blurb About LinkedIn
Just a quick note about LinkedIn. That’s where I conduct my medical writing & consultation business social media presence by staying engaged with the evolving landscape of healthcare, policy, and evidence-based communication. Many times, for me personally, it feels more like a chore and is not as enjoyable as my other business on social media.
Then there’s Day-Storms Studio.
This is where things loosen up. This is where creativity gets to breathe. Hallelujah!
For the Studio, our primary home is YouTube. That’s where the heart of what we do really lives. Whether it’s art experiments, creative challenges with my kids, or storytelling through projects, YouTube gives us room to show the full process—not just the finished product. It’s not just about posting content; it’s about inviting people into the journey.
We use Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok as supporting platforms. Think of them as the front porch. They’re where some people may first encounter what we’re doing—quick clips, snapshots, short moments that spark curiosity. But the deeper experience? That’s on YouTube.
And that’s by design.
Because YouTube allows us to do something the other platforms don’t. We can build connections over time. You can see the growth, the experiments, the wins, the messy middle. You can watch a simple idea turn into something tangible and shared with the world. That kind of storytelling needs space.
So when we think about social media, we don’t think in terms of “posting everywhere.” We think in terms of pathways. Each platform points somewhere. Each piece of content has a purpose.
And more often than not, that purpose leads back to YouTube.
If you’ve been following along on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok—thank you. Truly. But if you haven’t yet, we’d love for you to join us on YouTube. That’s where the full story unfolds. That’s where the creative process lives.
