A must-have for any pre-schooler with a superhero fascination
Studies have shown many benefits to reading to your child. Getting into a routine of reading is great, and we practice the good ol’ standard of bedtime stories. Both Bonecrusher* and Spider-Man* look forward to story time each night.

I thought a good take on the usual book reviews seen on other websites would be to include actual books that my kids love (or have loved). First up in the queue is Bedtime for Batman, a book that my boys have worn out from re-reading over and over again.
Bedtime for Batman, published by Capstone Young Readers (ISBN 978-1623709211), follows a young boy as he goes through his bedtime routine, including brushing his teeth and getting dressed for bed; however, it also depicts the same story side-by-side allegorically using Batman.
The illustrations in the book are captivating and in the style of a comic book. At the end of the story, the author includes a bedtime checklist, which my sons thought was “cool”.
Capstone also publishes other books within this series. We own Be a Star, Wonder Woman and Good Morning, Superman as well, but Bedtime for Batman is their favorite of the three books.
